School: Grade 4 at S.D Christ Centre

Special Talents and Interests: Telling stories, playing soccer!

Past: Rodine was born to a single mother Barbara who succumbed to meningitis in 2018 when Rodine was 3. Alex had been living with his poor uncle and an elderly grandmother. When we visited their home, we were shocked to find them without food and living in degraded housing. Having been recommended by the children’s department, we immediately welcomed him at S.D Christ Centre.

Present: He is a jovial and lovable boy who despite life’s challenges. He now has a loving family and a motherly touch. He has been asking some pennies to buy himself some food forgetting that he has a new home where food is guaranteed. He is in grade four and he is so excited.

Future: Rodine will continue with his elementary education.
